Happy 6th birthday, Prince Louis!
Kate Middleton and Prince William honored their youngest child’s milestone on Tuesday with a new photo of their son beaming while lying on a picnic blanket.
“Happy 6th Birthday, Prince Louis! 🎂 Thank you for all the kind wishes today,” the royal couple captioned the photo, noting that the Princess of Wales snapped the image herself.
The celebratory snaps are the first photos shared of the Prince and Princess of Wales’ children since their edited Mother’s Day picture went viral last month.
Louis appeared in the March social media upload, along with siblings Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 8.
Middleton, 42, sat with her smiling children around her — and fans were quick to point out evidence of Photoshop, from a mismatched zipper to a blurry hand.
In a subsequent statement, Middleton apologized and admitted that she “occasionally experiment[s] with editing.”
The photo scandal came in the midst of Middleton’s absence from the public eye due to a mysterious abdominal surgery.
She only sent tongues wagging further when she stepped out with William, 41, at a farmer’s market and sparked body double speculation.
Middleton set the record straight on March 22 in a video about her cancer diagnosis and treatment.
