Knicks fans take over MSG, NYC streets after Game 1 win over 76ers

It was a bing-bong-along.

Knicks fans took over Seventh Avenue outside of Madison Square Garden on Saturday night after the team’s electric 111-104 comeback win against the 76ers in Game 1.

The Knicks’ faithful was seen in a series of videos on X soaking in the victory outside The World’s Most Famous Arena.

In one clip, fans confidently chanted: “Knicks in four, Knicks in four!” as Saturday’s win gave the team a 1-0 lead over Philadelphia as hope remains for a series sweep.

Another video captured the rowdy bunch looking ahead even further into the postseason.

“We want Boston! We want Boston!” they chanted outside MSG.

The Celtics finished the regular season with a 64-18 record, good for first place in the Eastern Conference.

They are set to face the eighth-seeded Heat in the first round, starting Sunday.

Fittingly enough, several Knicks fans went viral in 2021, popularizing the phrase “bing bong” after the team enjoyed a dramatic double-overtime victory against the Celtics to open that 2021-22 season.

Nevertheless, the Knicks’ Eastern Conference rivals were not the only ones targeted.

A New York postseason foe of the recent past was also mentioned as several fans erupted into a “F–k Trae Young!” chant.

The Hawks All-Star famously turned himself into an MSG villain after leading Atlanta past the Knicks during the 2021 postseason.

Saturday’s win was a strong start for the Knicks’ championship aspirations as a series of clutch 3-pointers from Josh Hart and 21 points from sixth-man Miles McBride powered the offense.

The Knicks will host the Sixers for Game 2 on Monday as the team hopes to contain reigning MVP Joel Embiid, who posted 29 points and eight rebounds despite an injury scare in the first half.
