Retirement hasn’t stopped Tom Brady from keeping up with his fitness.
The legendary NFL quarterback gave his Instagram followers a peek at his intense exercise routine Thursday when he shared a video of himself running sprints in Miami.
“24 years later…” Brady, 46, wrote over the video, referring to the year the New England Patriots drafted him. ”@nobull. no excuses. Show up for yourself so you can show up all damn day!”
He also included three stop watch emojis.
Brady’s grueling, shirtless workout showed just exactly how the athlete has maintained his chiseled abs and toned arms despite leaving professional football last year. He did, however, admit months after his retirement announcement that he started losing weight because he wasn’t carrying as much stress.
“Yeah, I’m down about 10 pounds, but I’m actually very fit right now,” the seven-time Super Bowl champion said on the “Let’s Go” podcast with co-hosts Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray in September.
“I haven’t had the stress that I had while I was playing, so that’s allowed me to focus a little bit more on my physical health.”

Like his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, Brady always has focused on his health and wellness.
“You could prioritize a lot of other things — career, kids, relationships, family, greater good, community,” he said, “but at the end of the day, physical and mental health should sit at the top of the pyramid.”
The TB12 founder confirmed in July 2023 that he was still adhering to his wild diet, which excludes caffeine, white sugar, dairy, nightshades and iodized salt.
“I don’t think it’s a strict regimen. I think it’s just trying to make healthy choices that allow me to live the life I want to live,” he told People.
“I still want to maintain. I’ve developed so many healthy habits, I just want to stick with them.”
