Wizards vs. Knicks pick
The New York Knicks continue their home stand at Madison Square Garden on Thursday with a matchup against the Washington Wizards.
BetMGM is favoring the Knicks by 11.5 points and that seems reasonable. New York is just a much better team and it’s not asking a lot for it to cover Thursday.
The Knicks have won seven of their past nine games since the addition of OG Anunoby.
The former Raptor isn’t stuffing the stat sheet at 14.6 PPG, but his efficiency (50.5 FG%, 41.5 3PT%) helps New York’s offense function smoothly.
Add in Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle each scoring around 25 points per game, and this is a tough team to stop.
Meanwhile, the Wizards continue to drop in the standings after a 2-8 stretch.
They lost to the Knicks, 121-105, last Saturday and were blown out by New York in mid-November as well, so they don’t seem to have answer for this team.
Those blowout losses aren’t that out of character, though, because Washington has the worst defense in the NBA, allowing 125.3 points per game.
