Kourtney Kardashian poked fun at sister Kim Kardashian’s infamous diamond earring meltdown on Sunday.
“My diamond earring came off in the ocean and it’s gone,” Kourtney, who’s currently vacationing with Kim and Khloé in Turks and Caicos, wrote alongside a photo of herself rocking a bikini and swimming over the weekend.
The 44-year-old’s caption was a direct reference to a Season 6 episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” when Kim had a meltdown during a family getaway to Bora Bora.
Kim, 43, lost a $75,000 diamond earring after her then-boyfriend Kris Humphries threw her into the ocean.
“My earring’s gone!” she yelled in the 2011 episode before beginning to cry.
“My diamond earring came off in the ocean!”
Kourtney, who’s typically the voice of reason in the family, appeared from her villa and said, “Kim, there’s people that are dying.”
While it went on to become one of the most iconic scenes from “KUWTK,” Kim is tired of hearing jokes about it.
“This gets so old,” she said in a November 2023 GQ video while responding to fan making a nod at the infamous moment.
“Any time I’m in water, people will ask me if I found my diamond earring in the ocean,” Kim explained at the time.

“I don’t know if I showed this on our show, but Kylie [Jenner] found the earring. So, she dove in the ocean, put on goggles, found it, and then she went back and found the back of it. That’s how clear the water is in Bora Bora, so, guys, the earring has been found.”
“It was found in 2010. If anyone’s going to Bora Bora searching for gold and diamonds, [it’s] not there,” she added.
Kim may not enjoy reliving her infamous meltdown, but her family doesn’t seem to feel the same way. Even Kris Jenner commented on her daughter’s Instagram jab on Sunday, stealing Kourtney’s line from the show.
“Kourtney there are people that are dying,” she wrote.
