This Batmobile-like electric car can go 256 mph

The fastest electric vehicle in the world is speeding into the Big Apple.

With a top speed of 256 mph, the Rimac Nevera is headed from its birthplace in Croatia to center stage at the New York Auto Show.

The hypercar, which retails for $2.5 million, is made by Rimac Automobili.

The one on display at the Auto Show at the Jacob K. Javits Center from March 29 through April 7 is already spoken for, snapped up by a New Jersey-based Croatian neurosurgeon, who will pick it up after the show.

The Nevera has four motors, three high-definition screens and a massive battery pack.

It debuted in 2022 and there are only 150 in existence.

Although each can be custom-built for the client with their preferred materials and colors, many have suede and shiny billet aluminum interiors.

The Nevera, which has set 25 world performance records, was aptly named after the powerful wind storm that hits the Croatian coast of the Adriatic Sea.
