Chick-fil-A testing pizza at secret Maryland restaurant

What exactly the cluck?

Chick-fil-A has gone from regional fast food curiosity to national staple in a matter of years for good reason — but the chicken sandwich slinger may need an intervention on the heels of this latest news: It’s about to start selling pizza.

A statement released by the popular chain reveals that they aren’t just rolling out one pie beginning on Monday, they’re experimenting with a whole line, leading off with the house special — a chicken nugget, pickle and Chick-fil-A sauce topped number. (No, it’s not Apr. 1 — sorry.)

It’s a Chick-fil-A sandwich, but in pizza form. Smash or pass? Brand fans in one state can put the pie to the test starting on Monday. Eat This, Not That

Not that you’ll be seeing the crazy, possibly delicious crossovers at your local restaurant — the sketch-sounding line of ‘za’s is being tested at a spinoff concept called Little Blue Menu, opened in College Park, Maryland near Washington, D.C., back in 2023.

The name is said to be an homage to the blue menus Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy had on the tables at his first restaurant in Georgia, Eat This, Not That! reported.

The somewhat-secret eatery is reportedly a place for the swiftly-growing chain to test out new ideas — from burgers to Brussels sprouts and even chicken wings.

Here, the list of soon-to-be-rolled-out pies, provided by the company:

  • Chick-fil-A Pizza Pie The classic Chick-fil-A experience on a pizza. Mozzarella cheese topped with juicy, seasoned-to-perfection chopped Chick-fil-A Nuggets, drizzled with Chick-fil-A Sauce and served with pickles.
  • Buff-lo-Ranch Pizza Pie Mozzarella cheese topped with seasoned-to-perfection sliced Chick-fil-A Nuggets, buffalo sauce and creamy house-made ranch dressing drizzles, and a dusting of zesty lemon pepper seasoning.
  • Cheese Pizza Pie Signature tomato sauce topped with mozzarella cheese, baked to bubbly perfection.
  • Pepperoni Pizza Pie Signature tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, topped with savory pepperoni.
  • Meats-n-Veg Pizza Pie Signature tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, topped with a medley of pepperoni, sliced sausage, chorizo, meatballs, mushrooms and red bell peppers.
  • Pepperoni Pizza ‘Round A twist on the classic calzone, but meant to be carried a ‘Round. Stuffed with signature tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and crispy pepperoni, baked to the perfect golden-brown crisp.
A more promising-looking Pepperoni Round appears to be Chick-fil-A’s attempt at a calzone. Eat This, Not That
