President Biden is expected to deliver remarks on the foreign aid package just passed by the Senate and now under consideration in the House.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) has spoken out against the $95 billion supplemental, and others in the GOP have put pressure on him not to bring the bill to the floor for a vote.
The package under consideration would provide funding for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan, but leaves out border security proposals from Senate Democrats that were considered unacceptable by the GOP.
The president is expected to speak starting at 1:15 p.m. EST.
