U.S. sportsbooks are rolling out the red carpet for new and existing users ahead of the second day of the NCAA Tournament, offering big bonuses to new users, but also plenty of boosts and promos for all existing users, too.
We’ll cover six sportsbook welcome offers, plus a handful of ones for existing users, too. As always, the welcome offers can be used on any NCAA Tournament game, or any other sport. They’re not exclusive to college basketball.
Friday NCAA Tournament betting promos: New users
1. BetMGM
BetMGM has handful of different offers available depending on your state and preferences.
If you’re in North Carolina, user promo code NYPNEWS and you’ll get $150 in bonus bets after a $10 deposit and $5 wager.
If you’re in most other states, you can pick between first bet insurance up to $1,500 also with code NYPNEWS, or a 20% deposit match with NYPNEWS1600.
The insurance works like it does at most other sportsbooks — if your first bet loses, you’ll be refunded in bonus bets equal to what you lost. The deposit match tacks on 20% extra bonus bets to your account (with a max deposit of $8,000), but it comes with a 10x rollover. That means you must wager 10x your bonus amount in the first 30 days, or you forfeit the bonus.
2. FanDuel

FanDuel has a pair of straightforward offers — in North Carolina, you’ll get $250 in bonus bets after a $10 deposit and $5 wager. Your bet doesn’t need to win to earn the bonus.
In all other states, you’ll get $200 in bonus bets if your first $5 wager wins. But there’s no minimum odds requirement, so take as big of a favorite as you can find on the board — Houston is -10,000 against Longwood in the NCAA Tournament on Friday.
3. Fanatics Sportsbook

Fanatics has a slightly different style of offer than most sportsbooks. Each day for your first 10 days on the platform, they’ll match your first bet in bonus bets, up to $100. It doesn’t matter if those bets win or lose.
So say on Day 1 I make my first bet on Baylor at -14.5 for $75. I’ll get $75 in bonus bets. Then on Day 2, I don’t make a bet. I get $0. On Day 3, I bet $100 on something else. I’ll get $100 in bonus bets.
If you do it every day for 10 days, you’ll earn $1,000 in total bonus bets.
4. ESPN BET

ESPN BET has a two-part offer. In most states, you’ll get $150 in bonus bets after you deposit $10 and place a cash wager of any kind. In North Carolina, you’ll get $225 instead.
In all states, you’ll automatically be opted into a 200% deposit match up to $500. This means whatever you deposit, you’ll get 200% added on in Eligible Cashback up to $500 (meaning $250 is the max deposit here).
The Eligible Cashback unlocks as you bet, though. For every $1 wagered, 10 cents will unlock. So if I place a $100 bet, $10 of my bonus will turn into cash in my account. If I place a $50 bet, I’ll get $5.
5. DraftKings

DraftKings’ offer is straightforward. Just deposit $10, bet $5, and you’ll get $150 in most states. In North Carolina, you’ll get $250.
The bonus bets come back in increments of $25, so if you get the $150, you’ll get six, $25 bonus bets and you have seven days to use them.
6. bet365

At bet365, you’ll get a choice of offer in all 10 states. Use promo code NYPNEWS in all those states.
In North Carolina, you’ll get a choice of $200 in bonus bets or a $1,000 first bet safety net.
In the nine other states, you’ll choose between $150 and the $1,000 safety net.
As we explained last week, it makes sense to take the safety net if you plan on wagering at least $700 on your first bet. If not, take the $200 bonus bets.
Friday NCAA Tournament promos: Existing users
1. DraftKings
DK is offering four total promos for existing users on Friday. They continue to give all users the best boosts and bonuses on a daily basis. The max bet on each will vary depending on your account and betting habits.
- Promo 1: Bet any double-digit seed to win on the moneyline, get a bonus bet back if they lose. I’ll take Charleston over Alabama at +375.
- Promo 2: 64% profit boost on any CBB bet through Sunday. If you already used this Thursday, you won’t have it for today.
- Promo 3: Boost either side of the JMU-Wisconsin spread to +110. DK has a good price on James Madison relative to other sportsbooks, so I’ll take the Dukes.
- Promo 4: Stepped-up parlay boost. DK often runs this promo for a variety of sports. The more legs you add to your parlay, the bigger the boost. If you add 10 legs, you’ll get a 100% boost.
2. bet365
bet365 is offering a 50% profit boost on any same game parlay. It must be 3+ legs and be +100 odds or longer before the boost.
3. FanDuel
FanDuel has two promos for college basketball — a 50% profit boost on any parlay that’s 3+ legs and +400 or longer, and a 25% profit boost on any bet. The max will be around $10 or so, depending on your account.
I’d also expect FanDuel to add an odds boost worth betting later today.
